How long are temporary passwords valid?
Temporary passwords uploaded through a .CSV file are valid for 180 days.
- If a user does not log in at all within 180 days, the temporary password expires.
- You must create a new temporary password for any user whose password has expired.
- The 180‑day countdown begins when the user account is created, not when training is assigned.
Is it safe to upload passwords in plain text?
Yes. Passwords uploaded via .CSV are temporary and used only for initial login.
- Users are required to create a permanent password the first time they log in.
- Temporary passwords are not retained as permanent credentials.
Why are Employee IDs uploading incorrectly?
Microsoft Excel removes leading zeros from numeric values in .CSV files.
If your Employee IDs begin with one or more zeros, Excel may automatically drop those digits during upload. To prevent this:
- Add a letter to the beginning of the Employee ID (for example,
E001234) before uploading.
