Assigning Part 2 Learning Activities

Understand how Part 2 assignments support follow‑up measurement and impact reporting

Overview

When assigning courses in Foundry, you may notice that many ComplyEQ courses include two parts. This two‑part structure is designed to help measure changes in learner attitudes and behaviors over time.

Part 1 introduces the learning content, while Part 2 collects follow‑up survey data after learners have had time to apply what they learned. Comparing responses from both parts allows ComplyEQ to analyze impact and identify meaningful changes before and after the course experience.

As an administrator, it is important to ensure learners complete both parts of the course so you can accurately measure outcomes and use the data to inform ongoing training strategy and resource allocation.

What is included in Part 2?

Part 2 assignments are designed to be completed quickly. They include follow‑up surveys only and do not contain additional learning content.

Note: You do not need to assign Part 2 separately. When you assign the full course, both Part 1 and Part 2 are included automatically.

How to locate Part 2 assignments

On the Assignments page, courses that include a Part 2 will display a Follow‑Up Assignment link.

  • Select Follow‑Up Assignment to view the Part 2 assignment.
  • Once opened, the Part 2 assignment can be managed like any other automated assignment.

You can:

  • Edit the assignment name
  • Adjust the archive date
  • Update the communication reminder template and schedule

If you do not plan to use the follow‑up survey, you can open the Part 2 assignment and archive it immediately.

How should I use Part 2 assignments?

ComplyEQ typically recommends a 30–45 day gap between when learners complete Part 1 and when they complete Part 2.

This timing allows learners to apply what they learned in real‑world situations and reflect on those experiences. After this period, learners complete the follow‑up survey so changes in attitudes or behaviors can be measured more effectively.

Viewing Part 2 survey results

You can access Part 2 survey insights in real time from the Reports section of Foundry.

Part 2 data appears in:

  • Survey Results by Question
  • Survey Results reports

For anonymity purposes, survey reports populate only after at least 20 learner responses have been collected.

If you would like to review the survey questions for a specific course before launching it, your Account Manager can provide a list of questions upon request.

Why Part 2 matters

Part 2 follow‑up surveys provide valuable insight into how learning translates into behavior over time. These insights can help you:

  • Evaluate course effectiveness
  • Identify trends across your learner population
  • Inform future prevention efforts and policy initiatives

However you choose to deploy them, Part 2 learning activities are a powerful tool for understanding impact beyond course completion.
