Data Downloads

Generate bulk survey data exports for advanced analysis

The bulk data download feature allows administrators to generate large datasets in .csv format. These exports support deeper analysis, including filtering and crosstab reporting.

Bulk downloads are designed for users who need access to raw survey response data at scale.

Available data

Bulk data downloads currently support Foundry survey response data. This includes data from the following Foundry reports:

  • Survey Results (Workplace Insights)
  • Survey Results by Question

If you need access to bulk data exports and do not currently see this option, contact the ComplyEQ Support team.

Create a bulk data download

Follow the steps below to generate a bulk data report.

  1. Go to Reports > Downloads
  2. Select Download Report in the top‑right corner

Configure download settings

Enter the parameters for the data you want to export:

  • File name

    • Enter a name for future reference, or use the default file name

  • Course

    • Select the course associated with the data you want to download

  • Survey name

    • Select the survey you want to export
    • You must create a separate download for each survey

  • Date range

    • Select the date range based on when learners submitted survey responses

Generate and download the file

  1. Select Create Download
  2. Allow time for the download to process
  3. Once processing is complete, the export appears in the downloads list
  4. Select the Download icon to download the file

Before the download begins, you must accept the privacy terms.

Download availability and retention

  • Download links expire after 24 hours, but can be regenerated
  • Export files are deleted from ComplyEQ servers after 30 days

File format details

Bulk data exports follow the structure below:

  • Each learner appears in one row
  • Each survey answer appears in a separate column
  • Multiple‑response questions are split so each response has its own column
  • Column headers follow a consistent system‑generated format
  • Data is current through the end of the previous day (UTC)

Data restrictions

To protect learner privacy, the following restriction applies:

  • A minimum of 200 total survey responses (across all learners) is required to generate a bulk data download

If this threshold is not met, the download cannot be created.
