How to clear the cache in your Desktop Browser
Clear cached data to resolve loading or display issues
When should I clear my cache?
Clearing your browser cache can help if you’re experiencing any of the following issues:
- Pages aren’t loading correctly or appear broken
- You’re seeing outdated content after a recent update
- Buttons or links aren’t responding as expected
- You’re asked by Support to clear your cache as a troubleshooting step
Note: Clearing your cache does not delete your account or personal data, but it may sign you out of some websites.
Follow the instructions below for your desktop browser.
Google Chrome (Windows or macOS)
- Use Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Command + Shift + Delete (macOS)
- In the pop‑up window, select All time or another time range
- Select Cookies and other site data
- Select Cached images and files
- Select Clear data
- Close all browser windows and reopen Chrome
Chromebook (Chrome OS)
- Select the three dots in the top‑right corner
- Hover over More tools, then select Clear browsing data
- Choose a time range
- Select Browsing history, Cookies, and Cached images and files as needed
- Select Clear data
Mozilla Firefox
- Use Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Command + Shift + Delete (macOS)
- From Time range to clear, select Everything
- Expand Details and select Cache
- Select Clear Now
- Close all browser windows and reopen Firefox
Microsoft Edge
- Select the three dots in the top‑right corner
- Select History, then Clear browsing data
- Choose a time range
- Select Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data, and Cached data and files
- Select Clear now
- Close all browser windows and reopen Edge
Safari (macOS)
