Manually invite a user to set up their Foundry account

You can manually send a platform invitation email to a user to invite them to set up their Foundry account.

In most cases, this action is used for administrative users, since learners are typically prompted to set up their account automatically when they receive their first assignment.

Send a platform invitation

To send a platform invitation to a user:

  1. Log in to Foundry
  2. Go to Users > Manage Users
  3. Locate the user by scrolling through the list or using the Search Users field
  4. Select the user’s name to open the User Details page
  5. Select More Actions in the top‑right corner
  6. Select Invite to Platform

Confirm and send the invitation

A confirmation message will appear.

  • Select Invite to Platform to confirm and send the email

The user will receive an email with a link to set up their Foundry account.

Important notes

  • Learners usually do not need a platform invitation, as account setup is triggered when they are assigned training
  • Sending a platform invitation does not assign courses or grant permissions
