SCORM Dispatch for Workplace Training

An overview of how SCORM Dispatch delivers ComplyEQ courses through your LMS

Overview

SCORM Dispatch is a method used to deliver workplace training content from SCORM Cloud to your learning management system (LMS) using SCORM package files.

SCORM stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model. It is a set of technical standards that define how eLearning courses are packaged, launched, and tracked within an LMS.

ComplyEQ courses delivered through Foundry support SCORM Dispatch, allowing learners to launch training directly from your LMS while course content is securely hosted and maintained by ComplyEQ.

Supported SCORM Versions

ComplyEQ currently supports the following SCORM Dispatch versions:

  • SCORM 1.2
  • SCORM 2004 (3rd Edition)

Both versions allow courses to be launched and tracked through SCORM‑compatible LMS platforms.

Recommended SCORM Version

For most workplace training deployments, SCORM 1.2 is recommended.

SCORM 1.2:

  • Is widely supported across LMS platforms
  • Works well for completion‑based compliance training
  • Is sufficient for tracking progress and completion used by ComplyEQ courses

You should choose SCORM 2004 (3rd Edition) only if your LMS specifically requires it or does not fully support SCORM 1.2.

If you are unsure which version your LMS supports, check your LMS documentation or consult your LMS administrator before generating SCORM packages.

Why SCORM Dispatch Matters

Using SCORM Dispatch allows ComplyEQ courses to integrate smoothly with LMS platforms that also follow SCORM standards.

This approach enables organizations to:

  • Launch ComplyEQ courses directly from their LMS
  • Track learner progress and completion using SCORM
  • Avoid re‑uploading course files when content is updated

Because ComplyEQ hosts the course content, regulatory updates and content changes are handled automatically without requiring new package uploads.

How SCORM Dispatch Works

When a learner launches a course from your LMS:

  • The LMS loads the SCORM Dispatch package
  • The package securely calls ComplyEQ‑hosted course content
  • Progress and completion data are returned to the LMS
  • Foundry records completion data as a backup reference

This ensures consistency, compliance, and data integrity across systems.

When to Use SCORM Dispatch

SCORM Dispatch is best suited for organizations that:

  • Use an LMS as the primary learner entry point
  • Need centralized LMS reporting for training completion
  • Require ComplyEQ courses to align with existing LMS workflows

SCORM Dispatch may not be available for all courses. Contact Support to confirm availability for the courses you plan to deploy.
