SSO Pre-Implementation Checklist
Use this checklist before you configure SSO in Foundry
Before You Configure Your Identity Provider
Complete the steps below before setting up your identity provider in Foundry. Having this information ready will help ensure a smooth SSO configuration process.
Download Foundry SAML Metadata
- In Foundry, go to Settings > Single Sign‑On
- Select View ComplyEQ SAML Metadata
- Download the service provider SAML metadata file or encryption certificate
You will share this information with your IT team as part of the SSO setup.
Request Identity Provider Metadata from IT
Ask your IT team to provide one of the following options. Option 1 or 2 is recommended.
Option 1: SAML Metadata URL
- The metadata URL for your organization’s identity provider
Option 2: SAML Metadata File
- The SAML metadata XML file from your identity provider
Option 3: Manual Configuration Details
If metadata is not available, collect the following:
- Entity ID – A globally unique identifier for the identity provider
- Login URL – The URL used for SP‑initiated SSO
- Logout URL (optional) – The URL used when logging out of Foundry
Provide Identity Provider Certificate Information
Your IT team must provide one of the following:
Option 1: Identity Provider Certificate
- The X.509 public certificate used to sign SAML assertions
Option 2: Certificate Fingerprint and Algorithm
- Certificate Fingerprint – The fingerprint of the signing certificate
- Certificate Algorithm – The algorithm used to generate the fingerprint (for example, SHA‑256), provided as a URL
