Overview

Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) can be configured as a SAML 2.0 identity provider, with Foundry acting as the service provider.

Before starting, review Google’s documentation for setting up a custom SAML application to understand the required Google Workspace configuration.

Service Provider Configuration Requirements

When configuring Foundry as the service provider in Google Workspace, make sure the following setting is applied:

  • Leave Signed Response unchecked

This ensures that Google signs the Assertion within the SAML response. If this setting is enabled, Google will sign the overall response but not the assertion, which is not supported by Foundry.
