SSO Troubleshooting: Cannot Edit SSO ID of my Own User
Learn why admins cannot edit their own SSO ID and how to resolve it
What This Error Means
If you are an admin user and can edit other users’ SSO ID values but cannot edit your own, this behavior is expected.
For security reasons, admins are not allowed to edit their own SSO ID in the customer portal.
Why This Happens
Restricting admins from editing their own SSO ID helps prevent accidental lockouts and unauthorized access changes.
How to Resolve the Issue
To update your SSO ID:
- Ask another admin in your organization to make the change on your behalf
Once updated, you can log in using the new SSO ID value.
