SSO Troubleshooting: SSO ID Not Visible When Editing Users

Learn why the SSO ID field may not appear and how to enable it

What This Error Means

When editing a user in the Foundry Admin Portal, the SSO ID field does not appear.


Why This Happens

This behavior usually occurs for one of the following reasons:

  • Your organization does not yet have SSO enabled, or
  • SSO is enabled, but no identity provider has been added to your organization

The SSO ID field is only displayed once SSO is enabled and at least one identity provider is configured.


How to Resolve the Issue

  1. In the Foundry Admin Portal, check whether Settings > Single Sign‑On appears in the menu

    • If this option is not visible, your organization is not enabled for SSO. Contact Support to request enablement
  2. If Single Sign‑On is available:

    • Add at least one identity provider to your organization
  3. If you are not ready to launch SSO yet:

    • You may still add an identity provider
    • Leave Allow service provider‑initiated login unchecked so learners cannot use SSO until you are ready

Once an identity provider is added, the SSO ID field will become visible when editing users.
