Workplace Training SCORM FAQs

Frequently asked questions for SCORM administrators

How can I archive learner progress on demand?

Archiving learner progress is handled in your LMS, not in Foundry. To stop progress, end or archive the course within your LMS.

Can I archive individual learner progress separately from the retraining schedule?

Yes, but this is also managed in your LMS. You will need to stop or remove the course for the learner directly in your LMS.

How can I adjust my retraining schedule or other settings in a SCORM package?

In Foundry, go to SCORM Content Packages and update the package settings as needed.

Changes take effect immediately, but how those changes apply to learners may vary depending on:

  • Their existing progress
  • Previous package settings
  • Your LMS configuration

How do I manage a new SCORM package if an existing package with the same name already exists in my LMS?

If you upload a new version of the same SCORM file, it is treated as a new course and all learners will start over.

If you download the package again from Foundry using the Actions menu, the content ID remains the same and learner progress is preserved.

Can I change the name of the SCORM file?

Yes. You can rename the SCORM file after downloading it from Foundry. Renaming the file does not affect the content itself.
